In the past few days, Nano-Em, founded in the Yozmot HaEmek technology incubator in 2003, completed a $200,000 financing round from its existing investors.
Nano-Em develops technology for producing emulsions with nano-metric elements, using a centrifuge shaken by ultrasound waves. The waves break the materials into nano-sized particles, which makes the resulting emulsions more stable.
The company’s first product is Nano-diesel a diesel fuel mixture containing nano-sized water particles. The particles reduce pollution from the fuel.
Over the coming year, the company will focus on working with strategic partners in the energy field. At the same time, it plans to develop emulsions for other fields, such as nano-cosmetics.
