Sintec Media raises $10m

IVC Research: The broadcast network management software developer has raised $16 million in three financing rounds to date.

Formula Vision Technologies Ltd. (TASE: FVT) subsidiary Sintec Media Ltd., which develops broadcast network management software, has closed another $10 million financing round. Sequoia Capital invested $7 million and current investors invested $3 million.

Founded in 2000, Sintec Media’s OnAir software package makes it possible to coordinate and manage advanced broadcasting technologies, such as video-on-demand (VOD), and digital television. OnAir customizes content to audiences, thereby facilitating analysis of advertising campaigns. Sintec Media’s target customers are television stations, and cable and satellite broadcasters.

IVC Research says Sintec Media has raised $16 million in three financing rounds to date. The company’s main investors are Formula Vision (which owns 19%), Kardan NV (TASE: KRNV;AEX:KARD), Shamrock Holdings, Walden Israel, and Fishman Holdings subsidiary Globscom Ltd.

Sintec Media has a development center in Jerusalem, and offices in New York, Toronto, London, Paris and Berlin. Customers include the BBC and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
