This week, billboards in the Namibian capital of Windhoek were festooned with signs supporting Alexander. The signs bore a simple message: “Yes to investment” and were signed “Alexander Enterprises”. One billboard is outside the Ministry of Education, which recently awarded scholarships named for Kobi Alexander and his wife, Hannah.
90% of Namibia’s capital is held by foreigners, and only Minister of Justice Dr. Ngarikutuke Tjiriange, who is trying to move forward on the US request for Alexander’s extradition, seems to grasp the impropriety of the Namibian government’s hugging of Alexander.
