Neebula was founded this year, which makes the investment unusual.

Sources inform "Globes" that Neebula Systems recently raised $5 million from Genesis Partners and Pitango Venture Capital.

Neebula was founded this year, which makes the investment unusual, since in the past six months local venture capital firms have focused investments on portfolio companies or more mature companies.

Neebula develops management tools for virtual computer environments. The company was founded by CEO Yuval Cohen and Ariel Gordon.

Cohen has been CTO at Radlan, and became Radlan's general manager after its acquistion by Marvell.

Gordon was CTO at New Dimension Software, until it was bought by BMC, when he became CTO of BMC Software Israel

Cohen and Gordon saw virtualization as a hot market, and set up the company to provide innovative solutions in the cloud computer environment.
