LifeWave Hi-Tech Medical Devices Ltd. (TASE:LIFE) has obtained a patent from the Israel Patent Office for its process of improving blood flow. The blood flow enhancement device uses this process for the treatment of obstructed blood flow in the legs, edemas, and chronic wounds.
LifeWave is one of the 25 biomed companies included in the TASE's newest index, the Biomed Index, which was launched today. The company has the smallest weight in the index, at 0.69%.
LifeWave has not yet decided whether to commercialize this device. The company's flagship product is the BST (Best Sore Treatment), an electrical stimulation device for the treatment of chronic wounds.
LifeWave's share price rose 5% in morning trading to NIS 4.56, giving a market cap of NIS 65 million.
