Investment house calls to divest Turkey investments

"Israeli investments in Turkey are liable to jeopardize the money of investors and savers in these times."

Halman Aldubi Investment House has called on Israeli investment houses to divest their investments in Turkey and to boycott the country in response to Turkey's condemnation of IDF's action against the Gaza flotilla.

"The Halman Aldubi investment committee has decided to liquidate all the group's investments in Turkey," the company said. "Israeli investments in Turkey are liable to jeopardize the money of investors and savers in these times. Halman Aldubi Group calls on other investment houses to join a boycott of investment in Turkey and to immediately suspend all investment in Turkey and in Turkish companies, so long as Turkey does not change its policy toward Israel."

It added, "In the current circumstances, there is no reason for Israeli investment houses to help the Turkish economy", and cited Turkey's close relations with Iran and Syria.

Halman Aldubi did not mention the value of its investments in Turkey, but they are reportedly not large.
