MobileMax wins telecom deal in Oceania

The firm feels that the order is important, because it's from a leading carrier and is the company's first foothold in the Pacific.

Mobile integration solutions developer MobileMax Technologies Ltd. (TASE:MBMX) has received an order for the purchase of software licenses from a mobile carrier in the Oceania region in the southwest Pacific Ocean for NIS 1 million. The company expects another order for software compatibility products and to sign an agreement for the purchase of software licenses and the provision of support services.

MobileMax did not disclose the name of the customer, but said that it is a leader provider of mobile, telephony, and Internet services in the region, and that the carrier wants to launch a unified communications service for business customers based on MobileMax's solution. Subscribers will be able to use their mobile phones to connect to a VoIP switchboard for online enterprise data communications.

MobileMax said that this first order was important, because it was from a leading carrier and the company's first foothold in the Pacific.

MobileMax's share price rose 3.6% by midafternoon to NIS 0.99, giving a market cap of NIS 43 million.
