Web 2.0 recruitment co JoBookIT raises $1m

The company will use the proceeds for R&D, enter the international markets, and expand its sales and marketing for its SkilliQ brand.

JoBookIT Technologies Ltd., which operates under the SkilliQ brand, an "interactive, online mega application" for human resources management and recruitment, has raised $1 million from private investors.

SkilliQ combines Web 2.0 with artificial intelligence based on algorithms that can characterize candidates in various software fields, analyze, their employment history, education, and career ambitions to compare their suitability with the job requirements.

JoBookIT will use the proceeds for R&D, enter the international markets, and expand its sales and marketing.

JoBookIT raised $500,000 in March 2009, after JoBookIT chairman and CEO Arik Filstein founded the company in 2008.
