Pontifax invests $1m in bowel control co Stimatix GI

Stimatix GI is developing an artificial stomal cap for people who have undergone colonoscopies, to give them control of their bowels.

Pontifax Fund, headed by Eli Hurvitz, has invested $1 million in Stimatix GI Medical Solutions Ltd.

Founded in 2009 at Misgav Venture Accelerator in the Galilee, Stimatix GI is developing an artificial stomal cap for people who have undergone colonoscopies, to give them control of their bowels.

The company completed a preclinical trial on pigs in November, and will use the capital raised to finance a clinical trial of its product.
