NICE Systems to protect Moscow trains

NICE EMEA president Shlomi Cohen: AeroExpress is the company's first Russian mass transit customer.

NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) will supply security solutions to AeroExpress, a provider of rail transportation services between Moscow's rail terminals and its three airports. NICE did not disclose the size of the deal.

AeroExpress will implement the NICE Situator and NiceVision Net IP-based video surveillance solution and video analytics system for automatic intrusion detection.

AeroExpress CEO Aleksey Krivoruchko said, "We picked NICE for its comprehensive capabilities in providing unified security operations management, as well as for proven experience in protecting some of the world's main transportation systems."

NICE EMEA president Shlomi Cohen said that AeroExpress was the company's first Russian mass transit customer. He added, "With security threats to transportation systems on the rise worldwide, the need for improving security operations is high on the agenda these days."

NICE's share price fell 1.5% on Nasdaq yesterday to $36.95, giving a market cap of $2.35 billion, and fell 0.8% by mid-afternoon on the TASE today to NIS 128.10.
