EMC COO Pat Gelsinger today inaugurated its Beersheva R&D center. He said, "We want to be for Beersheva what Intel is to Kiryat Gat."
Gelsinger added, "Here, with the quality human capital and academe, we are planting the first seeds of a new Silicon Valley."
EMC VP Israel Center of Excellence director Orna Berry, Beersheva Mayor Rubik Danilovich, and MK Avishai Braverman (Labor) attended the ceremony.
