Better Place delivers only 5 cars in December

This is the lowest monthly figure since the electric car venture began deliveries.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that electric car venture Better Place Inc. delivered only five cars in December 2012, the lowest monthly figure since it began deliveries. Better Place delivered 23 cars in November. The sources added that the company has hundreds of cars waiting in port for up to 12 months, forcing it to register the cars itself and absorbing the cars' loss in value.

Better Place, a subsidiary of Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO), recently published new sales offers for leasing companies as part of the company's restructuring, but it is not clear of the offer will yield results.
