David Federman sells Kfar Shmaryahu home for NIS 55m

High-tech businessman Dr. Haim Amir has bought the 1,000-square meter house on a 1,250-square meter lot.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that David Federman, the owner of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club and controlling shareholder in Israel Petrochemical Enterprises Ltd. (TASE:PTCH), has sold his house in Kfar Shmaryahu for NIS 55 million, to high-tech businessman Dr. Haim Amir. Federman built the 1,000-square meter house on a 1,250-square meter lot on Hasadot Road in the 1990s. The house includes a swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, and fitness room.

Federman's associates said that he and his wife, Irit, sold the house after their children left the nest. Three years ago, the buyer, Amir, bought two floors in the Ackerstein D Tower in Herzliya Pituah from Industrial Buildings Corp. (TASE: IBLD) for NIS 30 million.

Estate real estate agency CEO Yossi Mimran said that prices in Kfar Shmaryahu have fallen 10% in the past two years. "Prices for lots in Kfar Shmaryahu begin at $950 per square meter in the western area near the Coastal Highway, rising to $3,400 per square meter inside the community, which is considered more attractive."

Federman's house is in the interior and desirable part of Kfar Shmaryahu.
