Tel Aviv site for new academic technology campus allocated

The Israel Land Authority and the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality have agreed to allot a site for a new technology and engineering campus in the southeast part of the city.

The Israel Land Authority and the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality have agreed to allot a site to the municipality for a new technology and engineering campus in the southeast part of the city. The 27-dunam (6.75-acre) site is between La Guardia Street, Moshe Dayan Street, and Hahagana Street.

The college will have 58,000 square meters of built-up space, including dormitories. The campus will have 5,000 students. The site already houses educational institutions, including ORT Singalovksi School, a Technical Engineering School, Municipal High School 9, and the Neve Barbur Community Center. The Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering, currently located in the north Tel Aviv neighborhood of Afeka, will move to the new campus.
