Verint raises guidance

Third fiscal quarter non-GAAP net profit rose to $43.1 million from $28.4 million for the corresponding quarter.

Actionable intelligence solutions developer Verint Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: VRNT) raised its 2013 fiscal year (which ends in January 2014) guidance and forecasts further growth in its 2014 fiscal year, after publishing revenue and profit growth for the third fiscal quarter, which ended in October. Revenue rose 11% to $224.3 million for the third fiscal quarter from $201.5 million for the corresponding quarter of 2012.

GAAP-based net profit rose to $22.5 million ($0.42 per share) for the third fiscal quarter from $1.6 million for the corresponding quarter, and non-GAAP net profit rose to $43.1 million ($0.80 per share) from $28.4 million for the corresponding quarter. It forecasts earnings per share of $0.81-0.86 on $250-259 million revenue for the fourth fiscal quarter.

Verint raised its full-year 2013 guidance to reflect revenue growth of 6.5-7.5% over the 2012 fiscal year. It also raised the earnings per share guidance to $2.75- $2.80. For the 2014 fiscal year, it forecasts 7-9% revenue and earnings per share growth.
