The 1000 sq. m. house was used to film Israeli reality show "The Bachelor".

Businessman Yaakov Angel has bought the house put up for sale by Orna and Aviv Raiz, who are divorcing, for NIS 37 million. The house, located on Lamerhav St. in Ramat Hasharon, was used to film the second season of "The Bachelor," an Israeli reality program that showed singer David Aharon trying to find a wife.

The house, designed by architect Orly Shrem and completed only five years ago, contains 1,000 sq.m. of built-up space on a two-dunam (0.5-acre) plot. The plot also boasts a 20-meter swimming pool, a cellar, and a small external building housing an exercise room and a spa. The house is located on one of western Ramat Hasharon's most prestigious streets.

The house was originally put up for sale a year ago at a reported asking price of NIS 60 million. Real estate market experts said this price was higher than the house's true value, and it was therefore left without a buyer for a long time. The asking price was subsequently revised to minimum of NIS 35 million. It is believed that Angel will have to invest hundreds of thousands of shekels more in the house, since it has been uninhabited for an extended period.

Raiz started out in business by founding the EuroTrust company, which deals in forex trading. His big break, however, came in the late 1980s, when he invested in Empire Online, a startup founded by high tech maven Noam Lanir. The company was later renamed Livermore.

Angel returned to real estate business in Israel by acquiring the National Outline Plan 38 Earthquake Retrofit business of the U. Dori construction firm, owned by Uri Dori. In recent years, Ofer Angel, his son, has been managing its AngelInvest 38 subsidiary, which develops National Outline Plan 38 Earthquake Retrofit projects. p>Published by Globes [online], Israel business news - www.globes-online.com - on June 26, 2014
