Low-cost carrier EasyJet plc (LSE:EZJ) has announced it plans launching flights between Tel Aviv and Hamburg in November. easyJet, which already flies from Tel Aviv to Berlin, will operate two weekly flights to Hamburg, on Mondays and Thursdays. easyJet will use Airbus A320s with 180 seats for the new Tel Aviv-Hamburg route.

The service will commence on November 3 2014. Tickets are already for sale on easyJet.com and the airline’s mobile application. Starting fares are: €48.49 - Tel Aviv-Hamburg (one direction, tax included) and €71.92 from Hamburg to Tel Aviv (one direction, tax included).

Hamburg will be the ninth destination easyJet operates from Israel after London Luton, London Gatwick, Manchester, Basel, Geneva, Rome, Milan and Berlin.

Since January 2014, over 220,000 passengers have flown with easyJet to and from Israel.

EasyJet UK Market Director Sophie Dekkers said, “easyJet continues with its plans to connect Tel Aviv with the airline’s bases around Europe. Tel Aviv and Hamburg are two great cities to visit for leisure and business. I’m sure that our easy and affordable service will boost tourism between the two cities as happened with the other routes we've launched in Israel. Since 2009, when easyJet started its operation from Tel Aviv, hundreds of thousands of our loyal customers have traveled to Israel and contributed to the local tourism and the Israeli economy.”
