The former Israeli prime minister visited Ghana last week.
Former prime minister and minister of defense Ehud Barak visited Ghana last week, and is reportedly seeking investment opportunities in energy, mining and agriculture, according to Ghana News Agency.
Barak himself was quoted as saying that Ghana was a country worth investing in, and that he hoped his stay there would give him the opportunity to engage with many stakeholders in the various sectors of the economy.
He was speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people of the Akuapem Traditional Area, organized in his honor at Mamfe-Akuapem.
Eastern Regional Minister Antwi-Bosiako Sekyere spoke about Ghana's natural resources, and also said that, with investment, the tourism sector could generate more income, adding that in 2013, the country made $1.7 billion from over one million tourists who visited the country. He disclosed that, by 2016, the country expects to make over eight billion dollars from over four million tourists who would visit the country.
