Three Israeli universities in world's top 200

QS World University Rankings: Hebrew University is Israel's top placed university.

Three Israeli universities are again ranked in the top 200 in the 2014 QS World University Rankings, which are topped by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for the third straight year. Harvard has slipped from second to fourth place, overtaken by the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London in second and third place. The University of Oxford is in fifth place followed by University College London in sixth place as UK universities dominate the top positions.

Five US universities follow Stanford (7), Caltech (8), Princeton (9), Yale (10) and University of Chicago (11) with Switzerland's ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) the world's top placed non-US or UK university, according to QS.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which has risen three places to 138 is Israel's top placed university. The Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa has slipped seven positions to 190, while Tel Aviv University has risen one place to 195.
