Committee chairman Nissan Slominiansky: We'll demand immediate measures from the government.

The Knesset Finance Committee will discuss the cost of living when it returns to regular activity. Committee chairman MK Nissan Slominansky announced today that he would issue an urgent summons on the issue to Antitrust Authority director general Prof. David Gilo. The discussion will take place next Monday.

Slomiansky criticized the government's behavior on the issue. "The current situation, in which the cost of living in Israel continues to rise, while the entire burden falls on the middle class and poor people, is intolerable, and required immediate measures," he said today. "The Finance Committee will not stand idly by when the average person is having trouble making ends meet. It will demand from the government immediate measures that will lower the cost of living as soon as possible."
