The Israel Airports Authority is again conducting tests of its HBS security inspection system.
The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) is partially closing Terminal 3 (the international terminal) at Ben Gurion International Airport this Friday, November 7, and is moving international flights to Terminal 1. The partial closing will take place for takeoffs between midday and 9:30 pm, in order to test the HBS security inspection system.
According to the IAA, the security and check-in procedures for 17 international flights will be moved from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, starting as early as 9:00 am, for flights with departures scheduled from midday on. Passengers are beings asked to go directly to Terminal 1. Following security and check-in, the passengers will be transferred to the Duty Free shopping area in Terminal 3.
A similar thing happened at Ben Gurion on October 24, when the IAA moved international operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 for eight hours, also because of security inspection system tests.
