Thu: IDB stocks tumble

The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.1% today and 0.5% for the week. IDB Development and Discount Investment were notable decliners.

The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.10% today, to 1,453.26 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.26%, to 1,292.62 points; and the BlueTech Index fell 0.45%, to 302.05 points. For the week, the Tel Aviv 25 index rose 0.5%, bringing its year-to-date rise to 9.3%.

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate rose 0.21%, to NIS 3.864/$. The shekel-euro rate also rose 0.21%, to NIS 4.8231/€.

Today's three leading stocks all fell. Teva was the most heavily traded share, falling 0.09%; Israel Chemicals fell 1.37%; and Perrigo fell 1.44%, after announcing a $900 million secondary offering in New York. Bezeq rose 1.20%, and Bank Hapoalim rose 0.83%.

IDB stocks fell heavily. IDB Development closed 13.63% off, and Discount Investment 9.28% off, against the background of the emerging failure of the attempted Wall Street offering by Adama.
