The former Finance Minister slammed Netanyahu's government at the Globes Business Conference.

Speaking at the "Globes" 2014 Israel Business Conference today, outgoing Minister of Finance Yair Lapid slammed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his failure to help young couples buy their first home. He said, "The prime minister assumes that the Israeli elector is a four year old child and that only two things work with four year olds - candy and intimidation. So throughout the election campaign he will promise candy that they won't receive and scares them that only he can save them. Mr. prime minister, we are not 4 year-olds but adults and we don't deserve to be related to like idiots."

He added, "the plan that I left at the Ministry of Finance to lower the cost of living will become my work plan immediately after I form the next government."

Lapid continued, "I listened to Netanyahu and I was ashamed because at least he could have done his homework."

He added, "An entire generation has collapsed because of apartment prices and he has done nothing."

Lapid insisted, "Yesh Atid will lead a centrist bloc. We will link up with other parties in order to change the Netanyahu administration."
