The one-day nationwide warning strike on Monday is over alleged unilateral actions by management.
Unless there is a last minute rapprochement, Egged Bus Cooperative employees and drivers will call a nationwide one day warning strike for tomorrow - Monday.
The Histadrut (General Federation of Labor in Israel) said that the strike follows the unilateral conduct of the bus company's management, which had seriously hit the salaries and work conditions of thousands of Egged drivers. "All attempts in recent weeks to get Egged management to halt unilateral actions have been met with a negative response - including repeated warnings by the Histadrut to Egged managers."
Histadrut Transport Workers Union chairman Avi Edri said, "I hope that Egged's management will sober up and retract its measures over the next day."
