The branches in the Shfela - Inland Plains region, the largest of the bank's five regions, will strike tomorrow.
Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) workers committee announced today that the 26 branches in the Shfela Inland Plains region, the largest of the bank's five regions, will strike tomorrow. The bank has 100 branches around the country.
The bank's workers committee called a labor dispute last April and has since been undertaking "silent" sanctions. The workers committee says management is now trying to undermine its status in the eyes of employees and thus the stronger measures now planned. The workers committee is protesting a planned restructuring albeit it does not involve any layoffs.
