Israeli leasing co Knafaim buys $88m Airbus 330-200

Knafaim Holdings Ltd. (TASE: KNFM) unit Global Knafaim Leasing, Ltd. has closed a leasing deal to acquire an Airbus 330-200 for $88 million. The aircraft, which was manufactured in 2012 and becomes the youngest and most expensive aircraft in the company's fleet, is leased to Virgin Australia until 2024.

The aircraft was acquired from a specialized British company. According to the leasing agreements, the expected income from the leasing fees is $83 million. The total amount of the deal is roughly $88 million. Global Knafaim Leasing CEO Sidney Slasky said: “We are proud to announce the completions of our largest ever deal to acquire and lease a single air carrier. In addition to the financial contribution, this deal indicates our entry into new territories and our high standard client second largest airline company in Australia. This is a significant step to realization of the company’s goal to expand its fleet, and it demonstrates its ability to make high quality deals, thanks to its experience, financial stability and the investors' trust in the company's activities."
