Tue: Israel Chemicals falls steeply again

The TASE was back in negative territory with Israel Chemicals, Israel Corp and Paz leading the losses but Mylan staged a recovery.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.88% to 1,414.62 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.57%, to 1,226.94 points and the BlueTech Index fell 0.62% to 324.82 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.12% to 318.29 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.25 billion.

On the foreign exchange market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.027% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.747/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate up 0.786% at NIS 4.336/€.

On the market, Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) fell 2.82% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index after falling 3.71% yesterday. Parent company Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) fell 2.08% and Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) fell 2.12%. Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) fell 1.57% after announcing another acquisition.

Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 1.76% and its energy exploration and production units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 1.79% and 1.32% respectively.

Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) rose 1.78% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 index today. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 0.47% and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.60% on the day's biggest trading turnover.
