Thu: Teva, banks lead market up

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange managed another positive week, with heavyweights Teva, Bank Hapoalim and Bank Leumi all rising today. 

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.17%, to 1,467.58 points, and the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.14%, to 1,285.55 points. The BlueTech Index fell 0.12%, to 351.43 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.17%, to 323.08 points. Turnover totaled NIS 868 million.

The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.1% over the past week. The index has fallen 3.9% so far this year.

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 0.40% lower, at NIS 3.7760/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.14% higher, at NIS 4.2781/€.

Teva led trading today, and rose 0.35%. Bank Hapoalim rose 2.19% and Bank Leumi 0.63%. Bezeq rose 1.08%, but the last of today's five leading stocks, Israel Chemicals, fell 2.18%.

Strauss, which reported today, rose 2.23%, and two stocks that are subjects of takeover moves rose strongly: Meitav Dash by 7.11%, and Allot by 3.43%.
