Tue: Gazit-Globe leads market higher

Gazit-Globe rose on strong financials but Mylan tumbled on the TASE today.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.09% to 1,472.58 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.30% to 1,296.15 points; and the BlueTech Index rose 0.78% to 356.75 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.05% to 322.98 points. Trading turnover was NIS 978.7 million.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.344% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.768/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.030% at NIS 4.270/€.

On the market, Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) rose 4.34% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index after reporting strong second quarter financial results. Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA rose 2.21% and Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 1.09%. Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) rose 1.58% and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.20% on the day's biggest trading turnover.

Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 0.62% and its energy exploration and production units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) rose 1.90% and 1.57% respectively.

Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) fell 5.32% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today and Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 1.03%.
