Sun: Drugmakers drag TASE down

Mylan, Perrigo and Teva began the week on the wrong foot.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.43% to 1,447.53 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.44%, to 1,275.68 points; and the BlueTech Index fell 0.31% to 351.41 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.05% to 323.58 points. Trading turnover was NIS 333.9 million.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.372% on Friday at NIS 3.754/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.383% at NIS 4.239/€.

On the market, Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) fell 1.58% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index and Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 1.07%. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.72% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) fell 0.61% and Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) fell 0.88%.

Isramco Ltd. (Nasdaq: ISRL; TASE: ISRA.L) rose 0.67% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 index. First International Bank of Israel (TASE: FTIN) rose 0.31% and Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) rose 0.45%.
