Sun: TASE stays firm

The market edged higher today led by Opko and Perrigo while Mylan recorded the biggest decline on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.08% to 1,462.76 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.12%, to 1,282.94 points; and the BlueTech Index rose 0.63% to 360.71 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.02% to 321.18 points. Trading turnover was NIS 523.2 million.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.03% on Friday at NIS 3.760/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.19% at NIS 4.216/€.

On the market, Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) rose 3.39% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 1.68% and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.31%. Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) rose 1.06% and NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 1.36%.

Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) fell 2.73% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index. Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) fell 1.18% and Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 0.92%.

Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) fell 1.06% on the day's biggest trading turnover and Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) fell 0.96%.
