Tue: Teva tumble continues

Teva fell sharply on an otherwise flat market as Mylan led the gains.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange was mixed today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.17% to 1,419.18 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.18%, to 1,299.65 points; the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.92% to 381.62 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.07% to 334.56 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.40 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.195% today compared with yesterday's rate at NIS 3.589/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set up 0.261% at NIS 4.036/€.

On the market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 3.36% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index on the day's biggest trading turnover. Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) fell 2.24% and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 1.55%. Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) fell 1.46% and Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) fell 1.29%.

Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) rose 2.69% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORA) rose 1.57% and Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. (TASE: HARL) rose 2.47%. First International Bank of Israel (TASE: FTIN) rose 1.44% following strong financials and Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) rose 2.07%.
