Wed: Frutarom boosted by results on flat TASE

Frutarom led the gains, buoyed by strong results, while Cellcom led the losses on weak results as Teva continued its freefall.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange was flat today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.04% to 1,418.55 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 0.05%, to 1,299.05 points; and the BlueTech Global Index was unchanged at 381.63 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.04% to 334.43 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.50 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.111% today compared with yesterday's rate at NIS 3.593/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.409% at NIS 4.019/€.

On the market, Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) rose 4.99% after reporting strong financials for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. (TASE: HARL) rose 2.74% after publishing its results. NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 1.94% and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 1.06%.

Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) fell 3.78% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index after publishing poor results. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TASE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 1.26%, continuing its slump, on the day's biggest trading turnover. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 2.04% and Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 2.47%. Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 1.83%, Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) fell 1.81% and Oil Refineries Ltd. (TASE:ORL) fell 1.92%.
