The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.22% to 1,439.32 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.08%, to 1,296.58 points; but the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.24% to 370.03 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.06% to 333.19 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.14 billion.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate today up 0.283% at NIS 3.543/$ from yesterday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.239% at 3.950/€.
On the market, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell only 0.23% on the day's biggest trading turnover despite the ongoing investigation against its top executives and controlling shareholder. Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) fell 1.70% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index and Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: TSEM; TASE: TSEM) fell 1.59%.
Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) rose 2.11% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) rose 1.13% and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.54%. Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) continued its good streak, rising 1.55%.
