Tue: Bezeq resumes slide on bear market

Bezeq and Teva declined while Gazit-Globe led the gains today.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.42% to 1,438.59 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 0.44%, to 1,292.19 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.78% to 368.17 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.06% to 333.83 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.65 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate today down 0.509% at NIS 3.518/$ from yesterday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.182% at 3.959/€.

On the market, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 1.73%, resuming its slide since the ISA probe against it opened, after a brief respite yesterday. Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 2.42% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 2.35% and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 1.28%. Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 1.89% and Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 1.83%. Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) fell 0.72% on the day's biggest trading turnover.

Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) rose 1.50% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) rose 1.47% and Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) rose 1.37%.
