UK low-cost carrier easyJet is to launch flights between Tel Aviv and London Stansted starting November 3. There will be twice weekly flights on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Fares on the inaugural Tel Aviv - Stansted flight on Saturday November 3 (9.50 pm) currently cost €139.45, on Tuesday November 6 €85.92. and Saturday November 10 €61.68. Fares from Stansted to Tel Aviv cost €113.13 on Saturday November 3 (1.55 pm), €123.23 on November 6 and €113.13 on Saturday November 10.
easyJet already operates two flights every day (one of Fridays) between Tel Aviv and London Luton and three weekly flights between Tel Aviv and London Gatwick as well as two flights weekly between Tel Aviv and Manchester.
Sophie Dekkers, easyJet’s UK Commercial Director, said, “We are delighted to continue to strengthen our selection of routes from Tel Aviv with the addition of this new service to London Stansted.
“We are sure this route will prove a popular addition to our route network from Tel Aviv. We now offer 16 routes to destinations across Europe and the addition of another connection to London is great news for our passengers who now have more choice and flexibility. Our new routes are making it easier and more affordable than ever for our customers to travel to a range of winter destinations.”
easyJet expects that the new service will carry more than 37,000 customers year round.
easyJet, which flies 700,000 passengers a year between Israel and Europe, also offers flights from Tel Aviv to 12 other European cities: Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nice, Basel, Geneva, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Venice and Naples.
Starting November 10, easyJet is also introducing one weekly flight every Saturday between London Gatwick and Aqaba in Jordan.
