Perrigo and Bank Leumi fell sharply today as Shufersal and Israel Corp. bucked the market.
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.44% to 1,580.37 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 0.40% to 1,413.47 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.39% to 372.28 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.10% to 348.12 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.04 billion.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.406% at NIS 3.709/$ from Friday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate down 0.279% at 4.225/€.
On the market,Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 3.56% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 index and Mazor Robotics Ltd. (TASE:MZOR) fell 2.06%. Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) fell 1.64% and Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) fell 1.38%.
Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) rose 1.7% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index today. Shufersal Ltd. (TASE:SAE) rose 1.69% after reporting its second quarter financials. NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 0.92% on the day's biggest trading turnover.
