Tehuti Networks raises $1m

Tehuti Networks is a fabless designer and developer of ASIC processors.

Israeli start-up Tehuti Networks recently raised $1 million from Alice Ventures, ProSeed Venture Capital Fund, and Lachman Goldman Ventures. Tehuti Networks CEO Yair Gitelman said the money would be used to speed up product development and marketing.

Tehuti is a fabless designer and developer of application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) processors to accelerate the performance of TCP/IP protocol servers and processors. Gitelman said, "Our potential customers are server manufacturers such as Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW) and Dell Computers (Nasdaq:DELL), as well companies such as Intel (Nasdaq:INTC) and 3Com (Nasdaq:COMS). He added that Tehuti's product would be ready for beta testing in the coming months, and the product launch was scheduled for the first quarter of 2004.

Haifa-based Tehuti has ten employees.
