The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.12% to 1,425.31 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.32% to 1,287.27 points; the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.07% to 365.74 points and the TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.19% to 333.85 points. Trading turnover was NIS 765.4 million.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.170% at NIS 3.527/$ on Friday and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.224% at 3.939/€.
On the market, Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 1.94% and parent company Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) rose 3.38% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index today. Sister company Kenon Holdings (NYSE: KEN; TASE: KEN) rose 3.46% after relinquishing its controlling stake in Chinese carmaker Qoros.
Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 2.02% and energy exploration and production unit Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) rose 2.30%. Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) rose 3.13%. Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) rose 1.70%, Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) rose 1.93% and Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORA) rose 1.84%.
After gaining about 10% last week, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) gave up some of its gains today, losing 1.70% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) fell 1.45%, Big Shopping Centers (2004) Ltd. (TASE:BIG) fell 1.45% and Sodastream International Ltd. (Nasdaq: SODA) (TASE: SODA) fell 3.55% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index.
