Wed: Teva recovery boosts TASE

Teva won back some of yesterday's big losses while Azrieli and Paz led the declines on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.12% to 1,429.85 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.17% to 1,250.63 points; but the BlueTech Index fell 0.07% to 353.25 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.16% to 320.86 points. Trading turnover was NIS 712 million.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.052% from yesterday's rate at NIS 3.819/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.112% at NIS 4.199/€.

On the market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 2.99% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index on the day's biggest trading turnover. Mylan N.V. (Nasdaq: MYL; TASE: MYL) rose 2.42% and Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 0.75%.

Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) rose 2.03% and Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) rose 1.66%.

Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) fell 1.87% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index. Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) fell 1.62% and Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) fell 1.26%. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 1.36% and Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) fell 1.32%.
