The Spanish airline is also adding follow-on destinations in Central and Latin America.

Air Europa is expanding its business in Israel by adding routes to destinations in South and Central America. In addition to the three weekly flights it already operates on the Tel Aviv-Madrid route, starting in June 2016, the company will operate an additional flight leaving Tel Aviv on Monday morning, with the return flight landing in Israel on Sunday night.

Air Europa is also adding three follow-on routes from Madrid: to Bogota, Colombia, starting in late June, and to Cordoba, Argentina and Guayaquil, Ecuador, starting in late December.

The company is launching a bargain campaign today, offering flights to Madrid and other destinations in Spain, including Palma de Majorca, Ibiza, and Malaga, from $300; various South American destinations via Madrid, including Buenos Aires, from $850; Brazil from $810; Havana from $780; and Bogota and Cancun from $1,100.

The new destinations are being added to those to which the company already operates flights, including Salvador and Sao Paulo, Brazil; Lima, Peru; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Montevideo, Uruguay; Asuncion, Paraguay; New York; Miami; and others. In the summer, the airline is expected to operate flights to the resort city of Vardero in Cuba.

Nissim Sagis, VP commercial at TAL Aviation, which represents Air Europa in Israel, says that the number of passengers flying Air Europa has grown 8% this year, compared with last year, and that the company is making its flights more frequent in response to predictions of further growth in passenger traffic.

"Furthermore, we are seeing a dramatic 30% jump in the number of passengers from Israel to Spain. Air Europa is emphasizing the Israeli market and promoting its follow-on destinations, with convenient waiting times between flights to destinations in Spain and the Western Hemisphere," Sagis stated.

Founded in 1986, Air Europa is the third largest airline in Spain. Its airplane fleet is young; all of its planes are less than four years old. The company recently introduced a Boeing Dreamliner 787 on its route to Miami, and will soon do the same for Bogota. Its air fleet will be reinforced with 22 more airliners that it has already purchased. Flights to South and Central America will offer Wi-Fi services.
