The Israeli company also plans to launch an entirely new line of products with the goal of democratizing air quality data.

Israeli air quality analytics provider BreezoMeter today announced the closing of $3 million in series A financing round. Funding was led by Phi Square Holdings, and Entrée Capital, Launchpad Digital Health and SeediL participated in the financing.

BreezoMeter is using the funding to expand its air quality data access globally. The company also plans to launch an entirely new line of products with the goal of democratizing air quality data and helping businesses provide every human with knowledge about the air quality around them at all times in their day-to-day lives. With its global expansion and extended product line, BreezoMeter is exploring new markets to make its personalized data available to more consumers in real time.

Headquartered in Haifa, BreezoMeter was chosen as one of "Globes" 10 most promising startups in 2015.

BreezoMeter cofounder and CEO Ran Korber said, "Air pollution is the single biggest environmental health crisis we face, and it has no boundaries. This funding round will enable us to expand our offerings to reach additional markets with new and innovative products. Our goal is to help corporations to provide meaningful data and actionable recommendations to keep their customers healthy."

BreezoMeter is helping more than 50 million people in 35 countries improve their health and quality of life by providing simple, intuitive and actionable air pollution data. Derived from governmental sensors, satellites, weather patterns, transportation dynamics and other sources, BreezoMeter provides users with accurate and precise air quality data, including pollutant concentrations and forecast, up to the city block. The company offers its data as a service via API to enterprises, from smart home, fitness, cosmetics, and automotive companies to health technology brands.

Martin Rosenbaum of Phi Square Holdings said, "More than 80% of cities exceed the WHO's acceptable air quality standards and 92% of the world's population breathes unhealthy air. Providing accurate air quality data, down to the city block, is vitally important for our health and wellbeing, and BreezoMeter is leading the industry. BreezoMeter is changing our way of seeing and analyzing air quality, pioneering a wide array of use cases, from smart homes to cosmetics, opening the door for future collaborations impacting our daily routines."
