The Prime Minister has told Ban-Ki moon that the Security Council statement is one-sided.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told UN Secretary General Ban-Ki moon, "The statement by the UN Security Council relates to the needs of a murderous terrorist group that attacks Israeli civilians and has no answer for Israel's security needs nor refers to the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip according to the principle set in intermediary agreements with the Palestinians."

He added, "This statement does not refer to the harm to Israeli citizens and the fact that Hamas has made Gaza residents into human shields and it uses UN facilities to attack Israeli citizens. Israel responded three times to UN proposals for a humanitarian truce and Hamas violated all of them. They continue now to fire rockets at Israeli citizens."

Netanyahu told Ban-Ki moon, "Israel will continue to deal with the terror tunnels. This is only the first stage in demilitarization. Instead of the international community's money being used to dig terror tunnels for mass terror attacks against Israeli citizens, the international community must work towards the demilitarization of Gaza."
