Binary software co JFrog raises $7m

Investors in the round include VMware and venture capital fund Gemini Israel Ventures.

Israeli company JFrog, which develops software management, storage, and distribution products, has raised $7 million in its second financing round. The company has offices in Israel and California.

Investors in the round include VMware and venture capital fund Gemini Israel Ventures, which led the company's first financing round. The money raised will be used to expand its development, speed up its open code activity, and continue global marketing and sales.

JFrog is offering an open code version, a commercial version, and a cloud computing version (SaaS Cloud Solutions) version of its products. CEO Shlomi Ben Haim, Yoav Landman, and Frederic Simon founded the company in 2008. Its development activity is in Netanya, and its products are used by Apple Computers, Netflix, and Amazon.com.

"We're seeing the revolutionizing and automation of software building, storage, and distribution processes," Ben Haim said. "Thanks to complete integration of Artifactory and Bintray with supplementary continuous integration products, JFrog has become the company dictating an uncompromising standard in the open code community and among the world's major software companies. JFrog's leading products position it as a pioneer and leader in managing the lifecycle of software development and distribution processes. In the near future, all of the world's software will be made and distributed JFrog's way."
