Canadian buys Tel Aviv penthouse for NIS 110m

The buyer purchased the seafront property from Ofer Investments.

A Canadian-Jewish real estate developer has bought a penthouse in Tel Aviv's seafront 10 Herbert Samuel project, under construction by Ofer Investments Ltd., for NIS 110 million. The 700-square meter penthouse is on the building's 20th and 21st floors and has 300 square meters of balconies.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that the penthouse was bought in shell condition, and that the deal was signed several weeks ago.

The deal reflects a price of NIS 120,000 per square meter, on the basis of the penthouse's floor space and half the area of its balconies.

It was previously reported that Eyal Ofer was going to buy the penthouse for NIS 115 million, but that it was put back on the market.

The sale follows the sale of a 400-square meter apartment on the 19th floor of the building to Gabriel Taman for NIS 47 million in July 2013.

The 21-storey 10 Herbert Samuel project has 40 apartments. It has a swimming pool on the third floor, spa, and fitness room. 36 apartments in the project have been sold to date.
