Outgoing El Al CEO Elyezer Shkedy: Israel should not be ashamed or cynical about planning for this.
"Israel has the potential to have not five million tourists, but 25 million, and we should not be ashamed or cynical about planning for this," said outgoing El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) CEO Elyezer Shkedy at the Israel Tourism and Travel Agents Association annual conference.
"El Al is the civil wings of the State of Israel and of Jews worldwide, and I have had the honor of heading this company," added Shkedy.
Shkedy announced his resignation on December 1, 2013, and it will take effect in a few days. No successor has yet been appointed.
