Amnon Cohen is suspected of accepting favors of a sexual nature from a businessman.
Former Shas MK Amnon Cohen was arrested yesterday on suspicion of accepting a bribe from a businessman, among other things in the form of favors of a sexual nature. He allegedly promoted the business affairs of the person involved.
The Israel Police said that following progress in its investigation in the affair, a foundation for the suspected bribery and breach of trust by Cohen had been established, and he was held yesterday for questioning.
The investigation was accompanied by the Tel Aviv District prosecuting attorney. Cohen's remand was extended yesterday by five days.
