The Attorney General has decided to indict former tourism minister Stas Misezhnikov, former deputy interior minister Faina Kirshenbaum and 14 others.

The huge alleged corruption Yisrael Beitenu Party affair in Israel's political and municipal system, goes up one notch. Attorney-General Dr. Avichai Mandelblit and State Attorney Adv. Shai Nitzan have decided that there is sufficient evidence to indict former minister Stas Misezhnikov, former deputy minister Faina Kirshenbaum and other senior public service officials for corruption offenses. The suspects will be called for a hearing. The decision matches the opinion submitted by the head of the State Attorney's Office Economic Department, Adv. Dan Eldad and the team of lawyers involved in the investigation.

The State Attorney's Office Economic Department notified the advocates of the 16 suspects in this affair that it considers indicting them for various offenses - according to each person's part in this affair, and based on a hearing that will be held, upon the suspects' request.

The suspects whose indictment is currently being considered include:

Stas Misezhnikov - former minister of tourism - suspected of graft, fraud and breach of trust, holding and using a dangerous drug and obstruction of justice.

Faina Kirshenbaum - former deputy interior minister and Yisrael Beitenu party secretary general - suspected of graft, fraud and breach of trust, money laundering and tax violations.
