Gartner acquires web data search co Senexx

The US IT research and consultancy company is setting up an Israel development center.

US IT research and consultancy company Gartner Inc. (NYSE: IT) has acquired Tel Aviv based Senexx, a cloud-based questions and answers platform that identifies and manages expertise within organizations. No financial details about the deal were disclosed.

Gartner said it will leverage Senexx’s proven expertise to significantly enhance its web search capability and augment its content recommendation engine and proprietary social platforms.

Gartner CEO Gene Hall said, “We will work with Senexx’s talented leadership team to invest in the development of their innovative platform to benefit our clients while minimizing disruption to their business throughout the integration process.”

Senexx CEO and founder Zeevi Michel said, “Senexx improves productivity by identifying individuals with specific knowledge and experience in a particular subject to help organizations answer questions, solve problems and realize new opportunities."

Gartner is expanding Senexx into its Israel development center and hiring senior software engineers and data scientists.
