84 apartments will be demolished and replaced by 278 apartments in the Weizmann neighborhood.

Herzliya's planning and building committee has approved for deposit an urban renewal project in the Mandelblat area of the Weizmann neighborhood. 84 existing apartments in 3-4 floor buildings between Pinsker, Ibn Ezra, Ibn Shaprut and Mandelblatt streets will be demolished with 278 apartments in two 15-floor buildings and two 12-floor buildings constructed in their stead. 20% of the apartments will be smaller than 75 square meters. Herzliya Mayor Moshe Fadlon said, "Moving ahead with the Mandelblat plan is another step in the urban renewal momentum that we are promoting for the streets of Herzliya with a stress on cooperating with the public. Only such processes will allow us to add homes for Herzliya's younger generation while improving the quality of life for veteran residents."
